X-CONSULT
Experience strategy and innovation
Concept · AIX-CONSULT is the XSEDES division for experience strategy and innovation. It turns a brief into a plan before anything is designed: who the audience is, what the venue allows, what the objectives are and how success will be judged. The result is a clear starting point for design, engineering and operation.

What does X-CONSULT do?
X-CONSULT sets the direction before the design begins. It works with the client to establish who the experience is for, what the venue allows and what the project must achieve. It then tests those answers against what can be engineered, built and operated. The output is a strategy that design, engineering and operation teams can all work from.
How does it work with the other divisions?
X-CONSULT hands its strategy to X-STUDIO, which turns it into concept and design. X-LAB can prove risky ideas before they are committed. X-INTELLIGENCE closes the loop: data captured during the run feeds the next brief. Because the divisions are one team, the questions asked in discovery are the same ones answered at commissioning.
What do you receive?
A written strategy and a clear brief. Typically this covers the audience, the objectives, the venue and its constraints, the measures of success and the main risks, along with a recommendation on how to proceed. It is written to be handed on, so any design, engineering or operating team can pick it up and start without repeating the discovery.
When should we bring in X-CONSULT?
Before design starts, ideally. X-CONSULT works best when the brief is still open, because the strategy shapes the concept, the engineering and the operating plan. If a concept already exists, X-CONSULT can test it against the audience, the venue and the objectives, then say what needs to change.
Is X-CONSULT only for new ideas?
No. It also reviews existing concepts, briefs and plans. The work is to check that an idea suits its audience and its venue, that the objectives can be measured and that it can be built and run. Where it cannot, X-CONSULT says so early and proposes a route that can.
What does X-CONSULT hand over?
A written strategy the whole team can work from. It sets out the audience, the objectives, the venue constraints, the measures of success and the risks. Design, engineering and operation teams use it as a shared reference, so decisions later in the project trace back to the brief.
